Cold Coffee (8)

The coffee was placed on the table. Hot. With steam escaping the cup.

Winter weather chilled the room which made the coffee inviting, just like the banter. Hours passed - quickly.

The coffee cooled - cold as the room. The room, in turn, as hot as the coffee when it first arrived.

It was a good conversation.
